Well my mother loved to knit and embroider all her life and only stopped maybe in the last five to ten years. She knitted jumpers mainly as well as even the odd hat. i have to say when I was younger they were not exactly the latest fashion but they were really good and especially very warm. My father loved to wear them in the winter when working outside and my mother wore some she knitted all her life. The family were never going to freeze to death for sure with her knitting.

However she did do some embroidering when I was in my mid to late teens that did make me one of the best dressed amongst my friends at the time. She never would allow me to get rid of this jacket no matter what.
